Lawn Mowing

We'll work with you to create a lawn mowing schedule that works with your busy life. Typically, we take care of your lawn on a schedule that makes sense for the season when lawn care is being done. We only use appropriately qualified staff and suitable, well-maintained equipment. We make sure to clean debris off sidewalks, driveways, and other living areas when the job is done.

String Trimming & Edging

We'll use string trimmers in areas where our mowers can't reach. We make sure to match trimmed areas to the height of the grass to give your lawn a smooth appearance.

Love the look of clean lines? We'll edge your sidewalks, curbs, flower beds, or any other border to give them a well-defined look. Similar to mowing, we make sure to clean debris off sidewalks, driveways, and other living areas.

Core Aeration

Due to its success in releasing clay and compacted soil, this technique is becoming more widely known and used. By aerating your lawn, you can manage and stop water runoff, dry areas, and some diseases. Following aeration, grass can then receive fertilizer and water more readily, which can start to work together to create a healthier lawn.

We'll aerate your lawn by using core aerators to remove circular dirt plugs from the grass. We leave those plugs in place so they can disintegrate and return to the soil. Aerating 1-3 times annually is beneficial to the overall health of your property.

Fertilizing

Turf grass requires certain nutrients, some of which your soil provides, but most soils cannot supply all of them over the whole growth period. Actively growing grass consumes a lot of energy and fertilizer encourages the formation of new leaves and roots, which keeps your lawn healthy.

Our
lawn care professionals have expert knowledge of the types of fertilizer and which are best suited for your needs.

Dethatching

Thatch is an organic layer that forms between the area of living plants and the soil surface and is made up of both dead and living shoots, stems, and roots. As turf produces organic matter more quickly than it can be decomposed, it's common for thatch to build up.

We believe it's important to remove thatch for a number of reasons. Water and fertilizer are blocked by thick thatch, and grass roots become imprisoned there, sensitive to heat, drought, and stress. Moreover, irrigation water can build up in the thatch layer, causing grass roots to choke from a lack of oxygen. It is also common for a thick layer of thatch to be a haven for pest insects and diseases of the lawn.

Overseeding

Reseeding is also known as overseeding. Occasionally, it's necessary to restore a lawn, and the best grass seed for the job must be chosen. Before winter arrives, overseeding is a fantastic way to fix damaged areas of your yard and thicken bare spots.

Overseeding can also be beneficial for many older lawns. Your grass will look better and perform better if fresh genetics are introduced. Older lawns use outdated seed types. The turf quality and disease resistance of more recent grass varieties are better. They are also darker green. Your lawn can get a much-needed facelift by being updated with better seed genetics.

My Airy Lawn Care knows the techniques necessary to cover up barren places, increase turf density, establish improved grass kinds, and improve the appearance of your lawn.
